Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Beacon). They blew past the Port Jervis Raiders 66-25 on Monday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Raiders are ranked 431st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Beacon's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Port Jervis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beacon will head out to take on Pine Bush at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pine Bush will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something Beacon surely won't give up without a fight. As for Port Jervis, they are taking a road trip to square off against Middletown at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
