Football Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Harrison Central

Harrison Central won the last time they faced Weir and things went their way on Friday too. The Huskies strolled past the Red Riders with points to spare, taking the game 30-14. The win was all the more spectacular given the Huskies' disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 537th in Ohio, while the Red Riders are ranked 63rd in West Virginia).

The victory made it two in a row for Harrison Central and bumps their season record up to 2-4. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 22 points in those games. As for Weir, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harrison Central will host Indian Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies will need to watch out since the Redskins have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Weir, they will welcome Keyser at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
