Hasbrouck Heights barely beat Elmwood Park the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Aviators blew past the Crusaders 9-3 on Friday. The Aviators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six  runs or more this season.
 Maddy Connelly spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three  runs (all of which were unearned)  on six hits and racked up eight Ks.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Kailen Peterson, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Giuliana Terranova, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
Hasbrouck Heights' victory was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 11-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8 runs. As for Elmwood Park, they now  have a losing record of 4-5.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hasbrouck Heights will challenge Teaneck at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Elmwood Park, they will head out to  face off against Union City  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Crusaders are facing the Soaring Eagles at the right time seeing as the Soaring Eagles are stuck on  a  five-game losing streak.
