Anaheim is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Los Amigos 23-2 on Friday. Considering the Colonists have won 11 games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Taylor Falt was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring four runs while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in February.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jenelle Monzon, who fired off two home runs, five runs, and seven RBI while going 4-for-4. Kamila Ramirez was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles.
Anaheim kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 24 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, University was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They came up short against Woodbridge, falling 17-1. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Anaheim pushed their record up to 15-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for University, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Anaheim hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .482. However, it's not like University struggles in that department as they've averaged .462. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
