Basketball Recap: Southwind Takes a Loss

Southwind was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Collierville Dragons and fell 61-20. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while the Dragons are ranked 55th).

Southwind's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Collierville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 22-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwind will welcome Germantown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Collierville, they will take on Arlington at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Collierville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
