Basketball Recap: Northside Comes Up Short

Northside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 73-40 loss at the hands of the Jonesboro Cardinals. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-19.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jonesboro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Frank Jackson, who went 6 for 9 to rack up 14 points and six rebounds. Jackson is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Calvin Goss, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 15 points.

Northside's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Jonesboro, their win bumped their record up to 18-8.

Northside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jonesboro, they will take on Griffin at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Jonesboro's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.
