Basketball Recap: Joshua Slusher's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pahrump Valley over Virgin Valley

After soaring to 56 points the game before, Pahrump Valley was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They took a 28-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Virgin Valley Bulldogs. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost seven in a row.

Pahrump Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Joshua Slusher, who posted four points and eight rebounds. Those eight rebounds gave Slusher a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alejandro Lozano, who had eight points.

Pahrump Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Virgin Valley, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Pahrump Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 74-24 defeat against Needles on the 27th. As for Virgin Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-49 loss against Spring Creek on the 26th.
