Basketball Recap: George County Takes a Loss

George County was the 51-27 winner over Poplarville when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rebels were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 20-19 to the Hornets.

George County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Poplarville, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. George County will host Stone at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Poplarville, they will be playing at home against Vancleave at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
