Baseball Recap: St. Augustine Takes a Loss

St. Augustine suffered their closest defeat since February 9th on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Jesuit Blue Jays by a score of 2-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Purple Knights were not able to get on the board.

Dylan Robinson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

St. Augustine's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Jesuit, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

While St. Augustine had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
