Baseball Game Preview: Bell Eagles vs. Burroughs Bears

The Bell Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Burroughs Bears at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Bell is returning to their home field after beating South Gate on theirs, despite the fact South Gate has dominated at home this season. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Rams on Friday.

The team relied heavily on Gustavo Ramirez, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Manuel Solis, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Burroughs narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past St. Anthony 4-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

Bell's win bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Burroughs, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.

Bell came out on top in a nail-biter against Burroughs in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
