Mount St. Charles Academy waltzed into their match on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Portsmouth Abbey Ravens 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Mounties, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17, 25-13.

Mount St. Charles Academy was led to victory by Isabella Lough and Kyla Smilevski. Lough had six digs and four aces, while Smilevski hit 100% for five kills and five aces. Those four aces gave Lough a new career-high.

Mount St. Charles Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Portsmouth Abbey, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mount St. Charles Academy will face off against Cambridge at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Portsmouth Abbey, they will challenge Dexter Southfield at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
