Sardis came out on top against Douglas on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over the Eagles. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Sardis' record is now 12-16-3. As for Douglas, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Sardis will challenge Boaz at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Douglas, they will take on Guntersville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
