Soccer Game Preview: Summer Creek vs. Channelview

Summer Creek is 0-4 against Channelview since February of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Summer Creek Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Channelview Falcons at 7:30 p.m.

Summer Creek fell victim to Kingwood and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Mustangs are ranked 30th).

Meanwhile, Channelview won against Atascocita on Friday with two goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Tuesday. Channelview had just enough and edged King out 2-1. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by just one goal.

The win made it two in a row for Channelview and bumps their season record up to 9-4-4. As for Summer Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6-1.

Summer Creek came up short against Channelview when the teams last played back in January, falling 2-0. Can Summer Creek avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
