Soccer Game Preview: Wrightstown vs. Xavier

The Wrightstown Tigers will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Xavier Hawks on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Wrightstown is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Coulee Region Christian/Providence Academy by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for Wrightstown.

Meanwhile, Xavier made easy work of Lourdes/Valley Christian on Saturday and carried off a 9-1 victory. The result was nothing new for Xavier, who have now won 13 games by three goals or more so far this season.

The win got Wrightstown back to even at 2-2. As for Xavier, their record is now 16-3-1.

Wrightstown couldn't quite get it done against Xavier when the teams last played back in June of 2024 as they fell 4-2. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
