Volleyball Recap: Biggs Comes Up Short

Biggs extended their losing streak to 14 on Thursday, dropping them down to 4-16. They came up short against the Williams Yellowjackets, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on October 7th.

As for Williams, their win ended a six-match drought at home and bumped them up to 9-14. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28th (when they won 3-0).

Williams was led to victory by Lupita Rivera and Estefany Carabeo. Rivera had 13 digs and two aces, while Carabeo had seven digs and six aces. That's the most digs Carabeo has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Evelin Cano, who had four digs, two aces, and one block.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Biggs and Redding Christian will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Williams does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
