Basketball Recap: Foshay Skates Past Westbrook with Ease

The Foshay Wolverines humbled the Westbrook Wildcats with an 89-36 victory. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Foshay's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Victor Esteban led the charge by putting up 25 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. Those six assists gave Esteban a new career-high. Donnivin RIce was another key player, earning 18 points and eight boards.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Foshay was working as a unit and finished the game with 34 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Foshay has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.8 points over those games. As for Westbrook, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foshay will venture away from home to challenge Serra at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westbrook, they will head out to square off against Middle College on Wednesday.
