It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lebanon had no problem doing just that on Monday. They came out on top against the Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles by a score of 7-3. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Krryn Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs.
In other batting news, Piper Sharkey was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.
Lebanon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive games.
