Softball Recap: Delone Catholic Squires vs. York Catholic Fighting Irish

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Big Spring, Delone Catholic was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the York Catholic Fighting Irish with a sharp 16-8 victory. With that win, the Squires brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

Adyson Hummer made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
