Soccer Game Preview: Cambridge vs. Wisconsin Heights

The Cambridge Bluejays will square off against the Wisconsin Heights Vanguards at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Cambridge's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Cambridge's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They beat Waupun by a goal, winning 1-0. That's two games straight that Cambridge have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin Heights got the win against Columbus on Thursday by a conclusive 7-0. Considering Wisconsin Heights have won six contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Columbus from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Joseph Burton led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The victory made it two in a row for Wisconsin Heights and bumps their season record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two matchups. As for Cambridge, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3-1.

Cambridge came out on top in a nail-biter against Wisconsin Heights in their previous matchup back in September of 2022, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Bluejays repeat their success, or do the Vanguards have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
