Football Recap: Whitewater Takes a Loss

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Whitewater and McFarland have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Whippets were beaten by the Spartans 55-8. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Whippets of the 35-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Whitewater now has a losing record of 1-2. As for McFarland, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Whitewater will challenge rival Delavan-Darien at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, McFarland is set to face off against their familiar foe Evansville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
