Basketball Recap: Conway Christian Comes Up Short

Conway Christian lost against Aynor back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles lost 64-39 to the Blue Jackets. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Conway Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Miles Crawford posted 20 points. Crawford's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points.

Aynor had a senior duo take command as Lucas Kamp went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc on his way to 21 points and Robinson Mendez shot 63% from the field en route to 12 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Alex Lewis, who scored four points.

Conway Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Aynor, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conway Christian will welcome Dillon Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aynor, they will be playing at home against Myrtle Beach at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
