Basketball Recap: Montebello Takes a Loss

Montebello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 57-42 to the Alhambra Moors. The Oilers were not able to make up for their loss to the Moors from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Montebello's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Alhambra, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montebello has already played their next match (against Bell Gardens), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Alhambra will welcome Schurr at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Alhambra knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Schurr likes a good challenge.
