Basketball Recap: Gospel Light Christian Comes Up Short

Gospel Light Christian lost against Arkansas Christian Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Gospel Light Christian Lions lost 80-55 to the Arkansas Christian Academy Knights. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lions have suffered since November 11, 2024.

Arkansas Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaclyn Goddard out in front who posted 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carla Best, who had 16 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Gospel Light Christian and nudges their season record down to 8-5. As for Arkansas Christian Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Gospel Light Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Abundant Life at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Arkansas Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Stephens on the 21st.
