Basketball Recap: Boron Bobcats vs. Kern Valley Broncs
Boron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to the Kern Valley Broncs on the road by a 52-37 margin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 68-48 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Loss or not, Boron got some senior leadership from Moses Garcia and Isreal Flores. Garcia dropped a double-double on 15 points and 19 rebounds, while Flores posted 13 points. Garcia also set a new season-high mark in blocks with six. Josue Magallanes was another key player, putting up five points along with seven boards and four steals.
Kern Valley was led to victory by Aiden Madden and Carson Parks. Madden had 18 points, while Parks put up 11 points and five steals. Bryce Smoot was another key player, posting four points and five steals.
Boron's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Kern Valley, they moved to 4-7 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boron will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while.
