Baseball Recap: Pike County Central Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Pike County Central and Floyd Central have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. The Hawks fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 3-2. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jaguars earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Pike County Central's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Floyd Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pike County Central will face off against Tug Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Floyd Central, they will challenge Lawrence County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
