Basketball Game Preview: Audubon Wheelers vs. Treynor Cardinals

Audubon hasn't had much luck against Treynor recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Audubon Wheelers will head out to take on the Treynor Cardinals at 5:00 p.m.

Audubon is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-51 heartbreaker at the hands of Underwood.

Meanwhile, Treynor had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They breezed by the Panthers to the tune of 79-43. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 27 points or more this season.

Treynor's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Audubon, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Audubon was dealt a bruising 63-31 loss at the hands of Treynor in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Audubon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
