Volleyball Recap: Faith Lutheran Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from K Sawyer and Mariah Mauga + How To Watch

Faith Lutheran suffered their biggest defeat since August 16th on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Bishop Gorman Gaels. The Crusaders were not able to make up for their loss to the Gaels from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 25-18.

Mariah Mauga and K Sawyer certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Mauga had 14 assists and 11 digs, while Sawyer had 12 assists and four digs.

Faith Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Bishop Gorman, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

After both having extra time off, Faith Lutheran and Arbor View will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup will give the Crusaders their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Bishop Gorman, they will head out to square off against Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
