Softball Recap: Syracuse Rockets vs. Kearney Catholic Stars
If Syracuse was riding high fresh off their 17-4 takedown of Falls City last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Syracuse Rockets lost 15-7 to the Kearney Catholic Stars on Monday.
Jade Campbell and Teagan Starzec stepped up to the plate in a big way. Campbell scored a run while going 1-for-2, while Starzec scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Syracuse has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-20 record this season. As for Kearney Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.
