Basketball Recap: Neptune Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Neptune extended their home winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Tyeera Howard. The Neptune Scarlet Fliers simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Hopewell Valley Central Bulldogs 61-30 which was due in part to Howard, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine boards. She also grabbed seven steals, which is notable because Neptune is 6-1 when she posts at least three steals, but 8-10 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Bre Evans, who posted 12 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. That's the most boards she has posted since back in January.

Neptune has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Hopewell Valley Central and nudges their season record down to 4-8.

As of now, neither Neptune nor Hopewell Valley Central have any future games scheduled.
