Softball Game Preview: Cloverleaf Colts vs. Coventry Comets

Cloverleaf hasn't had much luck against Coventry recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Colts will head out to take on the Comets at 5:00 p.m. Cloverleaf has given up an average of 10.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cloverleaf is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They lost 13-1 to Springfield.

Meanwhile, Coventry posted their closest win since April 20, 2024 on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Ravenna 6-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Comets as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Cloverleaf's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Coventry, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-3.

Cloverleaf suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Coventry in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Colts avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
