Basketball Recap: Kingsville Now 14-3 over Last 17 Games

Kingsville won against Montrose/Ballard on Friday with 41 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Kingsville Tigers beat the Montrose Blue Jays by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 41-29. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while the Blue Jays are ranked 510th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kingsville is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Montrose, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.

We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Wellington-Napoleon is on a three-game streak of home wins, Kingsville a 14-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Montrose, they will host Miami at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
