Basketball Recap: Turner Falls to Leavenworth in First Game of Season

Turner unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Leavenworth PIONEERS. The Golden Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the PIONEERS from their previous meeting back in February.

When it comes to explaining why Turner lost on Friday, don't look at Tyland Mcgee. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

Turner didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-52 win against Paseo Academy of Performing Arts on the 10th. As for Leavenworth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 68-35 loss against Carthage on the 12th.
