Baseball Recap: Trinity Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Paden City last Tuesday, Trinity Christian came back down to earth. The Warriors fell just short of the Oak Glen Golden Bears by a score of 5-4 on Saturday.

Parker Hopkins made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Thomas Dinkel also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Trinity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Oak Glen, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.

While Trinity Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
