Basketball Game Preview: Kinston Bulldogs vs. Florala Wildcats

Kinston hasn't had much luck against Florala recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Kinston Bulldogs will face off against the Florala Wildcats at 7:30 p.m.

Last Monday, Kinston came up short against Zion Chapel and fell 54-43. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Florala entered their tilt with Andalusia back in December of 2024 with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They secured a 70-65 W over the Bulldogs.

Florala's win came from a few key players Kinston will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Rayshon Coleman, who posted 22 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The game was his 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalton Jackson, who put up 11 points and seven rebounds.

Florala pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Kinston, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

Kinston ended up a good deal behind Florala in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, losing 68-52. Can Kinston avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
