Basketball Recap: Hamer's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Hostos Lincoln Academy last Wednesday, Hamer came back down to earth. Hamer took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Bronx Prep Cougars. The defeat continues a trend for Hamer in their matchups with South Bronx Prep: they've now lost four in a row.

Hamer's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-1. As for South Bronx Prep, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.

Hamer will face off against Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 24th. Hamer is facing Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy at the right time seeing as Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for South Bronx Prep, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on South Bronx at 4:30 p.m. on January 31st. One thing working in South Bronx Prep's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
