Football Recap: Hopewell Valley Central Piles Up the Points Against Robbinsville

A well-balanced attack led Hopewell Valley Central over Robbinsville in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Bulldogs blew the Ravens out of the water with a 59-21 final score. With the Bulldogs ahead 37-13 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Among those leading the charge was Grayson Vlasac, who threw for 92 yards and two touchdowns. Those two passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Robbinsville lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Gavin Yablonowitz, who threw for 263 yards and a pair of TDs.

The win got Hopewell Valley Central back to even at 1-1. As for Robbinsville, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Hopewell Valley Central and Robbinsville will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bulldogs are set to face off against their familiar foe Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Robbinsville will take on rival West Windsor-Plainsboro North/West Windsor-Plainsboro South on Friday.
