Abby Hawk made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Hawk was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nevaeh Cox, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and two stolen bases while going 3-for-3. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mykynzy Smith, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
Morristown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Edinburgh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Non Varsity Opponent, falling 11-1. The game marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Edinburgh saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenna Streeval, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
Morristown's record is now 3-4. As for Edinburgh, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Morristown has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .476. However, it's not like Edinburgh struggles in that department as they've averaged .462. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
