Baseball Recap: Newton Takes a Loss

Newton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Indianola, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cardinals fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Newton's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Indianola, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Indianola beat Newton by a score of 12-2 later that day.
