Plainfield North has gone a perfect 7-0 against Plainfield East recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Bengals at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Plainfield North easily dispatched Romeoville last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Tigers fell just short of Minooka by a score of 23-20 on Friday. The matchup was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Plainfield East was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 33-28 to Plainfield South. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Bengals, who until this contest were averaging 13.8 points allowed.

Plainfield North will need to focus on slowing down David Croom, one of several Plainfield East players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 108 yards and one touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Markeith Taylor, who picked up 86 receiving yards and one score.

Plainfield North's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Plainfield East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Everything came up roses for Plainfield North against Plainfield East in their previous matchup back in August of 2022, as the squad secured a 53-14 win. In that game, the Tigers amassed a halftime lead of 47-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
