Volleyball Recap: West Las Vegas Dons vs. St. Michael's Horsemen

If West Las Vegas was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Robertson on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dons came up short against the St. Michael's Horsemen on Thursday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dons of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-15, 25-19.

Tyra Horner paced West Las Vegas' offense, picking up ten kills. Horner got some help from Ciana Medina and her 15 assists. Horner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

St. Michael's can attribute much of their success to Ava Cola, who had 15 digs and one assist. Cola is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

West Las Vegas' loss ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7. As for St. Michael's, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.
