Softball Recap: Summit Academy Takes a Loss

Summit Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Park City Miners, falling 21-2.

Addisen Lanier made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Kaylee Luttio also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Summit Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Park City, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summit Academy will take on Highland at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.5 runs per game on average), something the Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Park City, they will welcome Hillcrest at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
