Softball Recap: Eastern Comes Up Short

Eastern extended their losing streak to five on Monday, dropping their season record down to 3-7 in the process. They came up short against the Rancocas Valley Red Devils, falling 13-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 on April 2nd.

As for Rancocas Valley, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

For Rancocas Valley's part, Kaitlyn Dick was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave Dick a new career-high. Ava Sweet was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern will welcome Bishop Eustace Prep at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rancocas Valley, they will challenge Cherry Hill West at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
