Basketball Recap: Newmarket Skates Past Sunapee with Ease

While Newmarket didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Sunapee Lakers 61-22 on Thursday. The Mules have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 22 points or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Newmarket and bumps their season record up to 6-1. As for Sunapee, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Newmarket will have a chance to go back-to-back against Sunapee: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
