Softball Recap: Clear Springs' Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Clear Springs extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Atascocita. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Eagles. The victory was nothing new for the Chargers as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Clear Springs got a great performance from Jenna Hashaw as she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off eight hits.

At the plate, Clear Springs let Makenzie Thomas and Eryn Polite run wild. Thomas went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Polite got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Colianni, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Clear Springs pushed their record up to 23-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Atascocita, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 29-7 record.

Clear Springs will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
