Volleyball Recap: California School for the Deaf-Riverside Takes a Loss

California School for the Deaf-Riverside was the 3-1 winner over California Lutheran when they last played one another on September 11th, but their luck changed this time around. The Cubs fell just short of the C-Hawks by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Cubs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

California School for the Deaf-Riverside started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-27, 25-9, 26-24, 15-8.

Neleh Boehm was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 16 assists and six digs. Those 16 assists gave her a new career-high.

California School for the Deaf-Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for California Lutheran, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-13 record this season.

California School for the Deaf-Riverside will face off against La Sierra Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for California Lutheran, they will square off against Hamilton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
