Basketball Recap: Cornell Takes a Loss

Cornell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 50-16 loss at the hands of the Winter Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-44 last Thursday.

Despite the loss, Cornell still got an impressive performance from Haylee Ellis, who posted 12 points. That was a full 75% of the Chiefs' points, marking the fourth time in a row Ellis has earned more than a third of the team's points.

Cornell's record now sits at 0-13. As for Winter, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Cornell will head out to face off against Flambeau at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Butternut at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
