Basketball Game Preview: Dadeville Bearcats vs. Halfway Cardinals

Dadeville and Halfway are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Dadeville Bearcats face off against the Halfway Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Dadeville picked up another tournament win on Tuesday. They strolled past Golden City with points to spare, taking the game 75-58.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Halfway against School of the Ozarks on Tuesday as the squad secured a 66-36 victory. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Dadeville is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Halfway, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.

Dadeville didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Halfway in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 61-57 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dadeville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
