Softball Recap: Wheeling Park Comes Up Short

Wheeling Park's last matchup with Logan could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Patriots came up short against the Wildcats, falling 11-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 7-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2016.

Wheeling Park's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-7. As for Logan, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Wheeling Park will challenge West Muskingum at 9:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Logan, they will square off against Riverside at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
