Soccer Game Preview: Forest Lake Christian vs. Futures

The Forest Lake Christian Falcons will head out to face off against the Futures Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Forest Lake Christian has given up an average of 3.1 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Forest Lake Christian is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering John Adams Academy Rsvl/Lin just ended the team's six-match winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 5-1. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Forest Lake Christian couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Michael Brazavon, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Futures' game on Thursday was all tied up 3-3 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Sacramento Waldorf by a score of 4-3. Futures have struggled against Sacramento Waldorf recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Forest Lake Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-5-1. As for Futures, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-3.

Everything went Forest Lake Christian's way against Futures in their previous matchup back in September, as Forest Lake Christian made off with a 5-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
