Soccer Recap: Brookside Takes a Loss

Brookside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 6-2 to the Columbia Raiders. While losing is never fun, Brookside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 420th, while Columbia are ranked 192nd).

Parker Gabet and Jeremiah Nickum scored both of Brookside's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Brookside's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Columbia, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Brookside wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 5-1 win against Clearview on the 2nd. As for Columbia, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 victory against Brooklyn on the 2nd.
